There are several different ways to battle in Top War: Battle Game. The first and most obvious is to attack the base of another player. If you win, you get gold coins as a reward, but that's about it. Where the strategy and challenge really come in to play is in the events that pit alliances against each other great rewards that help the individual players become stronger, as well as helping them to work as a team. And then, if that wasn't enough, there's the Server Verses Server battle that pits all the alliances of one server against all Alliances of another for control of each other's Capitol.
Events[]
There are several types of events that happen on a regular basis at intervals that range from ongoing to every two weeks. Below is a list with a brief description of each and the interval.
Refugee Rescue[]
This event is ongoing. As rewards for various other challenges, you may get a "Help Me" letter. When you open / use the letter, a Refugee tent will appear in an open space near your base on the world map. Only you can start a rally to attack the base and free the refugees. Rewards are a Lucky Wheel Treasure chest and a Skill Research token. This event can be found in the Event menu.
Dark Legion Boss Battle[]
Also called Army Manager or World Boss, this event happens three times per day, each time lasting for 1 hour. Each commander can attack the Boss five times in total, with rewards going out to a) anyone who attacks, b) the individuals with the highest damage rating, and c) the Alliance with the highest damage rating. The rewards for this event are sent via in game mail. Since you can participate in the event multiple times you are awarded for your best results. This event can be found in the Events menu.
Arms Race / Greatest Commander[]
This event has different names depending on the language your game is in. This event happens every day, but the event itself is different everyday. The events start at the time of server reset, and go to the next server reset, with rewards being sent via in game mail. Each day there are also three milestones to reach that give rewards that must be claimed on the Event page. The events include the following
--Gold Matters:[]
Spend Gold to earn points.
--Train Hard:[]
Train units to earn points
--Defeat Warhammers:[]
Defeat Warhammers to earn points (1 point for rally members up to 50 points, 2 points for rally leaders)
--Defeat Dark Legion:[]
Defeat Dark Legion (Army, Navy, and Air Force enemies) to earn points. Higher level Dark Forces give more points.
--Gather Resources:[]
Gather Gold, Food, and Oil to earn points
--Improve Combat Power (CP):[]
Increase your Combat Power to earn points
--Defeat Opponents[]
Defat rival commanders and their units to earn points. Often referred to as Kill Event or KE.
Supply Contest[]
--Requirements[]
This event time is voted on by "commanders over level 20" on the server, with a list of times made available. If your server has a Leader in the Capitol, they will choose the time of the event. The event lasts for 1 hour. A commander must be in an alliance, and that alliance must have possession of a regional fortress to participate. This event can be found in the Events menu
--Event[]
A plane will make a trip around the map (from Silo to Silo) dropping supply caches as it goes. The first commander to reach the cache then picks it up and takes it to the nearest fortress owned by their alliance. The majority of the supply caches have "blue" tents and contain 10 supply boxes for the alliance, and 50 for the commander who picks them up. (? needs verification) However, 5 or 6 of the drops from each pass of the plane are "gold" tents that contain 100 supply boxes for the alliance and 500 for the commander. A commander can use the "mini map" to see where the supply drops are. There are blue squares for normal drops, gold squares for gold drops, and grey squares for drops that have been picked up but not yet delivered. These supply boxes can then be used to purchase rewards in the Supply Contest's Airdrop store. Be certain to use them up before the next event starts as unused supplies disappear.
--Attacking[]
When a commander picks up the supply cache, the troops turn into a supply convoy that moves significantly slower. Other commanders can attack this supply convoy, stealing the majority of the supplies, but leaving one tenth with the original commander. Note that a convoy with a blue arrow above it is carrying a normal supply cache, but a convoy with a gold arrow is carrying a gold supply cache.
—Ruins Campaign changes
Since there are no more regional fortresses, deliveries are now made to the ruins your alliance controls instead. The plane follows the same path as before.
Silo Scramble[]
This event occurs once a week and is for alliances. The event lasts for two hours. The objective is to take and hold the one (or more) of the four Silos on the map. This event can be found in the Events Menu.
--Event[]
At the start of the event an alliance must take possession of a Silo by defeating the Dark Legion that is in control of the Silo. Once they have possession of the Silo, they must occupy and defend against other alliances. It is highly recommended that multiple members of the alliance have a march in the Silo, both to earn points and to help defend. If an alliance has control of two or more Silos, then members should have a march in each Silo to maximize the amount of points earned per minute. If all members of an alliance are defeated by another alliance, they ousted alliance keeps their individual points and accumulated time in the Silo and the new alliance begins their timer for individual points and rewards.
--Rewards[]
For each minute members of an alliance spend in the Silo they will earn 10 individual points. As the points accumulate they can claim individual rewards on the event page. At the end of the event, all members of the alliances that have time in control of the silos earn rank rewards in addition to the individual rewards. These are sent via in game mail. Having more than one march in one silo does not increase your points, however having a march in multiple silos will multiply your points by the number of silos. Alliance rewards are given to the top five alliances. Note that if an alliance controls two or more Silos the time spent is added together for a higher total.
Capitol Contest[]
The start time of this event varies, depending on voting by commanders over level 20. If there is a leader in the capitol then they will choose the time. This event happens once a week, however it is replaced by the Server Versus Server event twice monthly once your server unlocks that event. This event can be found in the event menu on weeks it is being held.
--Event[]
The point of this event is to take the Capitol at the center of the map and hold. The amount of time required to hold the capitol depends on how long it has been since the event started. During the first hour, you must hold the capitol for 30 continuous minutes. If any alliance is unable to do that, then from the one hour mark an alliance holding the capitol for 15 continuous minutes wins. If an alliance is unable to do that, then starting at the one hour thirty minute mark, an alliance must hold the capitol for 5 minutes. If no alliance is able to do that, then starting at the two hour mark any alliance taking the capitol (or holding the capitol at that time) wins.
--Silos[]
If an alliance other than the one in the capitol controls one of the Silos, the Silo will launch missiles at the Capitol every two minutes, injuring troops garrisoned in the Capitol.
Server Verses Server Battles[]
This event happens every two weeks once it has been activated on a server. It takes the place of the Capitol Contest for that week. More information can be found here. This event has changed and needs to be updated.

The skin is a red/brown castle for those receiving roses, or a blue/grey one for sending roses. It has a special power that can be used to merge units 1 level past your current allowed level, however the power is limited based on which ranking you receive. 1st place has the power for 30 days, 2nd Place has the power for 3 days, and 3rd place has the power for 1 day.
