Top War: Battle Game Wiki

At the beginning of the game you land on the shores of an island and fight to take over 1 square. By following the game's Story Quests you explore and expand more of the island and unlock more buildings. As you upgrade your Units and some of the buildings, the look of each one cycles through about 10 different styles, each with minor changes. You can find a list of the buildings here.

Interface[]

Base Interface Markup

Top War: Battle Game's interface is fairly straight forward. Once you have a few of the icons down and understand where to find things you can get around easily. [Each element mentioned needs it's own page created]

Section 1 in the image on the right contains information about your commander. Clicking on the picture takes you to your Profile where you can change your Name, Region, and Gender. the top 2 bars show how much Energy and Gems you have. The next bar down with the star shows your commander level. The 3rd bar down shows your VIP level for those who choose to spend money in the game. Finally, under the picture is a shield icon that shows your Combat Power, commonly referred to as CP. All of these elements show on the World Map interface as well.

Section 2 contains the large yellow icon that takes you to the Store where you can pay real money for in game belongings. Next in the line is a special beginners event icon called the Beginners Carnival. The next icon down takes you to the Event Page, where many events are found, including ones that come and go with regularity. Below that is an icon that changes, but always takes you to the "Valuable Events" page for limited time events and deals. Finally the bottom icon in section to show a replay of the last upgrade that offers you the opportunity to "Share with friends" in case you missed the opportunity to share when it first popped up. All of these elements, if they are available on the base interface page at that time, are also available on the World Map interface.

Section 3 contains the most common icons that take you to different pages within the interface. From the top down, the first icon will take you to the Hero List page. The next icon with two hands will take you to the Alliance menu. The envelop icon will take you to the in game mail and messaging interface. And finally the bottom icon of a bag takes you to the inventory page.

Section four contains only three elements. The Build icon pops up a list you can scroll through side to side to choose what buildings to build or decorations to place. The World Icon will take you to the World Map interface. Clicking the space in between will take you to the Chat interface. Just above section 4 is the Tasks Bar (pictured yellow) where you can view tasks for the Main Quest and the Reward Quest. The Reward Quest resets daily. Next to the Tasks Bar is the Activities button (not pictured) which provides a list of different activities to perform. This button unlocks in the early stages of the game.

Finally section 5 contains the "special deal" icons for deals that will expire soon. The first icon allows you to watch videos to earn gems. You can do this up to 15 times per day and get 15 gems each time.

Unit Buildings[]

Training Buildings[]

Unit Training Buildings are upgradeable. After upgrading the merge level in the Intel. Command Center building, you can then merge your buildings to that level at a ration of 2 to 1. You can have as many of these buildings as space allows, and each one has a build queue of 5 Units. The Units produced depends on the type and level of the building. To add a Unit to the build queue, tap on the building and then tap on the circle showing the Unit type. The number of Units in the queue will appear at the bottom of the circle. If there are no Units in the queue, Zs will float from the building indicating it is sleeping (not producing Units).

Barracks[]

This is where you build your Army Units.

Shipyard[]

This is where you build your Navy Units.

Air Base[]

This is where you build your Air Force Units.

Storage Buildings[]

Unit Storage Buildings are places to store your Units. You can store up to 50 Units of the appropriate type in each building. The storage capacity can be upgraded one space at a time with Room Upgrades. The number of Room Upgrades required increases as you increase the number of spaces. Units are not required to be stored in the Storage Buildings, however it is the best use of space possible.

Garage[]

This is where you store your Army Units. It starts at 50 spaces but it can be expanded using either decorations or using a Room Expansion Device. The quantity required increases each time you use a Room Expansion Device. Once you reach Level 80, a second Garage is available for purchase on the General Perk tab of the Mechanical College.

Dock[]

This is where you store your Navy Units. It starts at 50 spaces but it can be expanded using either decorations or using a Room Expansion Device. The quantity required increases each time you use a Room Expansion Device. Once you reach Level 80, a second Dock is available for purchase on the General Perk tab of the Mechanical College.

Hangar[]

This is where your store your Air Force Units. It starts at 50 spaces but it can be expanded using either decorations or using a Room Expansion Device. The quantity required increases each time you use a Room Expansion Device. Once you reach Level 80, a second Hangar is available for purchase on the General Perk tab of the Mechanical College.

Other Buildings[]

Repair Factory[]

When your Units are damaged in battle, they show up in the Repair Factory once they return home. There is a Start Repair button at the bottom that will begin repairing all Units in the Factory AT THAT TIME. If more Units become damaged after you hit the button the first time, you will need to go in and hit the button again.

The amount of time it takes to repair a Unit depends on the level of the Unit. Repair Speed ups in increments of 5 mins, 1 hour, and 8 hours are available as rewards as well as for purchase in many of the various stores. There is also one SR Hero, Wade, whos skill allows for instant repair of some regular units each day.

Intel. Command Center[]

Also called HQ, this building is where you research and upgrade the level of your Units, Unit training buildings, Gold Mines, and Repair Factory (Repair Room). The level of your Intel. Command Center controls the maximum level of your Units, Unit training buildings, Gold Mines, and the number of Repair Factory Slots that you can have. Your Intel. Command Center level can be one level higher than your game level, the maximum level however is 80 (same as game level). So it's theoretically possible to have a maximum Intel. Command Center and maximum. Units without reaching maximum game level.

Repair Room - Increases the number of slots in your Repair Factory.

Merge Gold Mine - This is the level limit you can merge your gold mines.

Build Gold Mine - Increases the base level of Gold Mine that you build. These can then be merged to a higher level, limited by the Merge Gold Mine level

Army/Navy/Air Force Unit - This is the maximum level you can merge your Units to.

Merge Barracks/Shipyard/Air Base - This is the maximum level you can merge your Unit production buildings. It controls the base level of the Units you produce, which you can then merge to the limit of the unit's Unit research level.

Build Barracks/Shipyard/Air Base - Increases the base level of Unit production building you build. These can then be merged to a higher level, limited by the buildings merge level limit.

War Hall[]

In the War Hall there are three tabs, Defense, Formation, and Military Exercise.

Defense - Here you can set which 2 heroes you want to designate as the Garrison Heroes, and the Units you want to designate as Garrison Units. These Heroes and Units will defend your base when it is attacked. Hitting the Setup button will take you to a battle screen where you can swap out the Units and Heroes. you should update this page as you upgrade your Units and Heroes to make certain that you have your best defending you. Note that designating these Heroes and Units in the Garrison does not take them out of availability for other uses. If you do not designate specific Heroes or Units, the game will pick them for you.

The More Options button allows you to designate which Units and heroes will take over when your Units are injured or heroes are unavailable.

The Backup button allows you to see heroes and Units who have reinforced your base from other alliance members, dismiss them when they are no longer needed (by alliance member) , and see a record of who has reinforced you in the base

Formation - On this screen you can set your "preset" attack formations. You start out the game with two, and two more unlock as your level increases. You can also get to this screen from the battle screen by selecting one of the numbers under the heroes, setting your heroes and Units and then clicking Save Formation.

Military Exercise - This tab give you access to the Practice exercises where you can ear rewards for participating. These exercises do not damage Units. The three exercises available are Sandtable Exercise, Warzone Exercise, and Warzone Exercise (SVS). These are more easily access from the Activities button in the main interface.

Arsenal[]

The Arsenal is where you modify the assignment of components to different troop types, upgrade your Suppression (or Type Effectiveness), and to build Equipment.

Component - This is where you place the components from your Inventory - Enhance tab so that they are included in your battle calculations. There are three sections; one for Army, one for Navy, and one for Air Force. Each section has five slots, so you can have 5 components boosting your Army, 5 bosting your Navy, and 5 boosting your Air Force. You can put in as many components as you have. You can also choose up to 4 different sets. So if you only have enough high level components to boost one type of Unit, you can put them on Army in set one, Navy in set two, and Air Force in set three. Another common strategy is to have one set for Player versus Player (PVP) and one set for the World Boss / Army Manager.

The higher the level the component more effective they are. See the Component Buff page for more information on levels and percentages. There will also be a strategy section in the future to discuss the best components.

Suppress - Here you can upgrade a Unit type's ability against another Unit type. There are three sections, one for each Unit type.

Army Unit suppresses Air Force Unit - upgrade the S.A.M (Surface to Air Missiles) and Anti-Air Armor to increase their effectiveness against Air Force Units.

Naval Unit suppresses Army Unit - upgrade the Precision Missile and Stealth Armor to increase their effectiveness against Army Units

Air Force Unit suppresses Naval Unit - Upgrade Torpedo and Stealth Coating to increase their effectiveness against Naval Units.

Equipment - Equipment allows you to upgrade your troops, regardless of level. More information is provided on the Equipment page.

Formation Center[]

Unlocks at Level 50

From the game:

  1. Formations are unlocked and upgraded in the Formation Center. Upgrade a position in the Formation will gain the unit on that spot with different attributes.
  2. Evaluating the effectiveness of a position in the formation and organizing units and heroes as needed may get you a better battle result.
  3. The formation items are used to redeem rewards in the Legion Store.

Formation 101 items are available in the Legion Store, which means you need to complete the Daily Quests to be able to purchase them. The Formation Manual: Assault is only available through free to play type events.

To take advantage of the Formation bonuses, in the Battle screen where you’re choosing your units and Heroes, just under the Heroes there is a blue button with the Formation Symbol. Press that and the spaces for which you’ve unlocked the onuses will “light up” to indicate they will be using the bonus.

Assault Formation[]

The Assault Formation increases the Attack and DMG increase of the front two rows of units to cause more damage. A commonly used formation with no obvious flaws.

Economic Buildings[]

There are a few economic buildings in your base.

Gold Mine[]

This is where you generate gold. As your level progresses you can have up to 10 active gold mines, with as many inactive ones as you like. These must be collected manually until you build the Gold Harvester, which will automatically collect all active gold mines.

Gold Harvester[]

Once build, this is where you tap to gather your gold. While there is no limit to the gold you can have in your inventory, there is a limit that the Gold Harvester can hold. You can also tap on this building to "Quick Collect" gold. You will instantly collect 6 hours worth of gold produced by your gold mines. You can do this once per day for free, and then you can pay using gems to do this additional times.

Finance Center[]

The Finance center contains many tabs. The first is the Daily Supplies tab, followed by many different store tabs.

Daily Supplies[]

This tab is where you can go to collect free supplies based on a timer that increases with use throughout the day, and then resets at the end of the day. The supplies provided are usually 1 research token for one of the Intel. Command Center research goals, Gold, or Gems. These rewards are not particularly valuable, but do add up over time. On this tab is also one of the many, many places in the game where you can purchase "Packs" of items for real money.

Item Store[]

This tab is where you can purchase many different items for the game at their regular price, without any discounts, using Gems. When the Daily Quests point you to buy x number of items from the the store, this is where you go. The contents of this store does not change.

Alliance Store[]

This tab is where you can buy shields, moves, Tech Chests and General R&D plans using Alliance points. Alliance Points are earned by donating items in the Alliance Help center and donating to Alliance Tech. Any discounts earned from Alliance Tech are applied here. As of this writing you can also purchase the Transfer Application once per day. This is used for those who want to move to a different server. The contents of this store does not change.

Flash Sale[]

This tab offers items from the item store at a discount. ranging from 20% to 60% off normal Item Store prices. The items available changes each time the store refreshes. You can refresh the store once for free, or spend gems to refresh it up to 4 more times per day. The store refreshes on its own every several hours.

Legion Store[]

This tab is where you can spend points earned by completing the Daily Quests. This store is the exclusive place to purchase Kate Curry shards, 2 Formation Plans and Sophisticated Drawings for use in building traps and bombs available to Mechanical Masters. The contents of this store does not change.

Expedition Store[]

This tab allows you to purchase items using the points you earn from the Expedition base. The contents of this store does not change.

Treasure Store[]

The is where you can spend Treasure Badge tokens you earn during the course of your game. These are fairly rare. You can also go hear to spend a Limited Hero Voucher to buy a shard to recruit the hero Katrina. Recruiting Katrina (like most heroes) requires 10 shards. The contents of this store does not change.

SVS Store[]

This store allows you to purchase special tickets earned during the SVS event. This is a new introduction in April 2021. This is the one location you can purchase shards for the hero Delhuyar, and the Formation Manual - Assault, and a Blue Material Choice Box. The contents of this store does not change

Island Store[]

This store allows you to spend the points you earn from the Mysterious Island. Here you can purchase shards for the free gold heroes and their exclusive skills. The contents of this store does not change.

Exclusive Skill[]

This store allows you to spend a new event based currency that looks like a red shard to purchase exclusive skills for any gold hero. Prices range from 15 to 30 shards.

Decorations[]

Please go to this page for information on Decorations.

The Island[]

The island is split into a grid with you unlocking more spaces (each more expensive to unlock than the last) as you go. Once you've unlocked all the spaces on the starting island, you can move to the left half of the island. Please be aware that the majority of that island can not be used for Unit storage. Only decorations, non-Unit, and non-gold buildings can go there. So your Gold Mines and Gold Harvester, your Dock, Garage, and Hanger, your Repair Factory, and your Barracks, Ship Yards, and Air Bases all have to stay on the main island. However you can move all decorations including tiles, the Radar HQ, Expedition Base, Finance Center, Craft Center, Magic Chest, War Hall, Dimensional Mine and Mechanical College, over to the left island. This frees up space for more Units on your main island.
